Sun visor Decal Cover Up Installation Instructions
1. PRE-CLEANING OF INSTALL AREA “Very Important”
Please make sure the area where the visor decal is being installed is clear of any dirt, road debris, environmental fallout, oil from oily fingers, and road pollutants such as grease oil etc, bug impacts, especially evidence of OILY fingers, dashboard protectants and leather cleaning products. These pollutants and cleaners may deactivate the adhesive and produce a bad install.
** I understand that a soap and water solutuon works best, as a pre-cleaning agent, “lightly” rubbing on area using a soft cloth to remove evidence of the above contaminants.
Note ** Decals when installed may easily be removed in the future…this does not constitute a bad install; if the decals are just falling off then the area was not appropriately cleaned; Containments sticking to adhesive causing decal not to stick at all.
AFTER CLEANING AREA please continue with the following….
INSTALLATION
WITHOUT
TRANSFER TAPE
2. After removing decal from backing paper – Mist/spray some water on the adhesive side of cover up to allow time to position the decal perfectly over the AIR BAG DECAL.
3. When you’re satisfied with its position carefully and GENTLY Squeegee the remainder of the water out from underneath the decal/sticker with a soft cloth. Take all the time you need here. (The water de-activates the adhesive allowing time for positioning. Once the decal has dried adhesive will stick.)
** Using water deactivates the adhesive so you have time to position decal. Once excess water has been removed and cover up is dry adhesive re-activates, conforms and sticks to the surface.
